Visa Information


US citizens need visa to enter to Brazil. Moreover, for the citizens of the countries not listed below, a visa need to be requested in a Brazilian Consulate in order to attend the meeting. Letters of participation to the Symposium to apply for the visa (if required by the consulate) will be provided upon request by writing to fisss2011@lna.br.


The citizens of the following countries are visa exempted to enter in Brazil. Andorra, Argentina, Austria, Bahamas, Barbados, Belgium, Bolivia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Ecuador, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Guyana, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Monaco, Morocco, Namibia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Malta, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Suriname, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom, Uruguay, Vatican, Venezuela. Travelers who have single entry or an expired multiple entry visa may not re-enter in Brazil before obtaining a new visa. No visa can be obtained at the border or airports. Passports should be valid for at least 6 months.
