Título: IFU imaging of the bulge globular cluster Terzan 9, and comparison with date from MUSE@VLT Resumo: We have obtained, and reduced data with the multi-IFU spectro-imager MUSE at the Very Large Telescope (ESO),for the bulge globular cluster Terzan 9. The main aim of this proposal is to compare the two sets of data. This is of great interest to us since we are the builders of SIFS. The data on MUSE were already reduced, the spectra were retrieved, and these spectra are being analysed. The globular cluster Terzan 9 is particularly interesting because it is very close to the Galactic center. In this region there is a concentration of clusters with metallicity [Fe/H]~-1.0, and blue horizontal branch, that indicates they are very old. Given that its stars are too faint for high-resolution spectroscopy (V ~ 19), and given that the cluster is very compact, not allowing easily to put fibers on different stars, an IFU study of stars in this clusters is more suitable. The aim is to derived a precise metallicity, and abundances of Mg, Na from strong features (Mg2 and Na lines) |
