Título: A search for conspicuous features of molecular and ionized gas surrounding young star clusters

Resumo: The scenario of star clusters formation can be better understood based on the detailed study of the dynamical conditions of the associated gas, clustering properties and effects of the ionizing source, among others. Our previous works revealed an exotic environment surrounding several young stellar groups. The molecular cloud CMa R1, for instance, is under the (unconfirmed) hypothesis of triggered star formation. A study of fractal statistics of young clusters showed the stars distributed in filamentary sub-structures that were probably formed under supervirial conditions and feedback from ionizing sources. The answer for questions raised from our results depends on the comparison among the distributions of molecular, atomic and ionized gas. With this goal, we propose to obtain with Spartan H2 and Br_gamma emission images, which will be compared with [SII] and [OIII] images obtained with SAM. The high quality of optical images is required to reveal the expected structures in the ionized gas distribution.
