Título: Search for Novae in Globular Clusters with the help of eROSITA

Resumo: Classical Novae (CNe) are thermonuclear explosions occurring in interacting binary systems made up of a white dwarf and a Roche-lobe filling main sequence star. Although the study of properties of CNe is comparatively advanced, our knowledge of the impact of the metallicity of the binary on the proerties of the explosion is still very limited. This proposal aims at identifying the elusive population of novae in globular clusters by combining optical monitoring with X-rays observations from the eROSITA satellite. CNe found in this project will help to build a more complete picture of the properties of this explosive phenomenon.
