Título: OPD observations of candidates to magnetic Cataclysmic Variables discovered using SOAR

Resumo: We propose to obtain time-resolved polarimetry and photometry of 8 candidates to magnetic Cataclysmic Variables (mCVs) discovered using SOAR in 2012 and 2018. Although recent results show that one third of the CVs closer than 150 pc are magnetic, this high proportion is not found in the fraction of magnetic WDs observed in their parent population - the post common envelope binaries - posing problems to the understanding of CVs formation and evolution. Our objective in this work is to increase the number of mCVs with known orbital periods and good estimates of geometrical and physical parameters to a proper exploration of the parameters domain of mCVs and eventually help to address questions on CV evolution.
